So, it’s only been 1 week of classes and I don’t even know when i stopped to take one breathe. Classes started on August 26th. Time is like 2 fast 2 furious. It has been quite an experience! There’s a lot of material thrown at you comes with a fine print saying “handle it with care.” Time management is the key to get through it.
I have a 30 minute commute to school. I wake up at 7:30 am shower, dress, breakfast and on the way by 8. Class starts at 9-12. This week we had Health care system I where we talk about current and past issues in dentistry, and how the health care system is. Very interesting class and it is a freebie (no test if we are nice!) An hour break to unwind, relax and drive to other side of campus for Gross Anatomy and have lunch. Gross starts at 1 pm and goes on forever. It is schedule to end at 4 pm but first day where we visited out cadaver ended at 6 pm. To get through our first day “meeting the cadaver” our big sibs came by and mentored us. Then, an hour or two to unwind, food, and get my ish together. Studying time 7-10 pm then 30 minutes drive back home. Dinner and spend time with family. Study again 1130-1. My favorite part of the whole day sleep 1 am – 730 am. That’s been the story so far.
I apologize for not posting regularly. I was trying to figure my study pattern, getting adjusted to the craziness, and get through the first week.
Plan for the next week: I found this cool website that puts your head in the right direction. Link to time management
